Gas-tight shut-off dampers are designed to ensure the level of tightness required by KTA Guideline 3601 (German Nuclear Safety Standards Commission, KTA) and by DIN 25414 even when the power supply or compressed air supply fails.

  • Compact design and robust actuator mechanism allow for any installation orientation
  • Maximum air leakage rate is 0.0028 (l/s)/m² or 0.01 (m³/h)/m² at a differential pressure of 2000 Pa
  • Gas-tight closure, even when there is no power, due to special over centre locking mechanism

JFD

TROX Type ‘JFD’ Damper is a Multi-leaf Fire and Gas Damper, designed for marine and offshore applications. The damper is certified by Lloyd’s Register and ABS for the compliance with IMO Fire Test Procedures Code, Annex 1; Part 3. The damper is also certified by Lloyd’s Register for compliance with the essential Fire protection requirements of the EU Marine Equipment Directive (MED) 96/98/EC. The damper is certified for horizontal or vertical mounting in ‘A-0’ divisions, and ‘A-15’, ‘A-30’ and ‘A-60’ divisions when suitably insulated. The damper is also certified for use in Zone 1 and 2 hazardous areas and complies with EU Directive 94/9/EG (ATEX 95), Appendix 1 and is classified under equipment group II, category 2G. In accordance with EU Directive 99/92/EC (ATEX 137), the damper can be used in potentially explosive environment where gas Groups IIA, IIB and IIC, and flammable materials at temperature classes T1 to T6 are present. 

The maximum recommended operating pressure for this damper is 3000 Pa.

BDD

  • The damper casing and blades are made from 1.5mm thick galvanized steel sheet.
  • The blades are fitted with 12 mm diameter mild steel spindle in zinc plating.
  • The blade spindles are connected to the damper casing with bearing journals which have a maximum operating tamperature of 80 °C.
  • The damper has face linkage with parallel blade arrangement.
  • Counter-weight arm(s) is fitted to the side of the damper casing complete with adjustable weights, located outside of the air stream.
  • The blades are fitted with tip seals made of Silicon rubber.
